At the Olympics

When you have a million things to do,have 3 sick toddlers that are beyond exhausted who refuse to sleep and they are bouncing of the walls on pure adrenaline. Lunch is hasn't made it down to my stomach and Its time to run. Because they think they are part of the World's Olympic Gymnastic Team and their beds are their trampolines. They sound beautiful talking to each other and the laughing its contagious,But can we just take a break and get some rest and let mamma do the Juggling of the the laundry ,the sweeping, the dishes, the mopping and ta coffee break before its time to go load up the car and head for the bus stop. Four days of being unable to walk or move about after throwing my back out picking up one of the babies, took its toll on the house,Milton and the boys were great cooking , trying to clean and keep up with the 3 little ones but even then I feel like its time to start our daily routine of cleaning and keeping up with everything,Summer is done no more slacking. ...

Made simple

Life at the Mazariegos is always fast and on going ,so anytime I can make it easy on me or on anyone here Im on it.With 3 one year olds at home I like to get as much sleep as possible, mornings are not my thing therefore I like to prepare ahead of time.Once a month I pre make meals and do other small things to keep the house afloat and help us all out in our every day "I'm running late" rush. Here is a list of some of the things we do.....  *Every other day the Twins pick 4 chores each out of our chore envelope (luck of the draw) Kitchen, bathrooms, trash, vacuuming,Dog,bleaching, laundry, yards and together they have to do their room. *Every morning before we leave our rooms the beds need to be made and laundry picked up. *There's a breakfast menu  Cereal Frozen PB&J  (homemade) Breakfast burritos (homemade) Mini Pancakes  Frozen gogurts  *Clean out the car when we get out of it. *Every night before we go to bed we tidy up as much as possible. *If it's a late nig...

In the slow lane

It's said that a mother's job is never done no weekends or holidays off. 24/7 all year round. Meetings,Doctor's appointments, school projects, groceries, laundry, meals, and the list goes on.... After years in the fast lane and none stop speeding you get to a point where you run into the slow lane.  No matter how many kisses and snuggles you get it doesn't change the fact that your body is feeling the effects of running on 4 hrs of sleep and the lack of caffeine. No energy left and the house looking like a tornado just crossed through it.Just the thought of the many things that need to be done exhaust you even more. The daily routine becomes a norm and you realize that you have taken the load on yourself and that the people that care for you want to give you a little push and help you carry the load but you don't know how to ask for the help or even let go and accept the help.  How do you let go? How do you ride the slow lane? How do accept a lending  hand?   Lord It'...

Sitting at the top of the hill

The view from up here is breathtaking ! Made it to the top of the hill 38 is going to be a fun year,I sit and enjoy the beautiful blessings God has given me. I'm proud to say I will be married to my Junior High sweetheart for 22 years this week ,a mama of 7 beautiful children a GG to 2 precious grand babies I serve in an awesome church and I'm part of # Bethatfamily ministry. Its just amazing how much God loves me,can't wait when I launch myself OVER THE HILL to grab ahold of all those blessings on my way down to the field of dream in my Golden age. It's only going to get better from here I can see it now.  38 is only the beginning of the party ......

As a referee

I'm a big believer in helping my children become independent as early as possible,This includes problem solving. When the boys have and argument I usually tell them "Figure it out yourselves" and let it go until it is resolved or I really need to step in, which is almost never. But when it comes to blows that's it ,I have to step in. We DO NOT TOLERATE using your hands as weapons. The conflict was as follows. The kitchen had to be cleaned so I told the boys "Once that episode is done you need to pause the TV and clean the the kitchen,I don't care who does what but it needs to be cleaned" AJ wanted to unload the dishwasher and put the dishes away not wanting to mess with nasty dishes.Michael was not happy that he beat him to it so the argument started. Abraham was holding on strong about not needing his help and he can do it all by himself and Michael wanted to help him to do it. After a few minutes of arguing Abraham got mad and punched...

When No means....NO!!

Sometimes we get what we were least expecting .And what do you do with that? Do you pout and scream do you take in or do you just go with  the flow? My boys tend to sometimes think life is not fair, they cry about it and just make it known they don't like the outcome of the situation. And my response to that is "Sometimes you WIN and sometimes you LOSE ,and today you LOSS" Well as an adult its doesn't change the fact that things can go the way you didn't want them to and you have the right to also have a moment and let it out,but not the right to sit and dwell on it and make it a comfortable place or a nest to spend the rest of the your life. It should be a moment to stop to reflect on the why the answer you got was not what you were waiting for. There are many times in my prayer life when I sit and pray and I tell the Lord this is what I want and how I want it and when I want it,and I sit and wait for it to happen but then God tells me "Ok,I hear what y...
